Your Private 14-Day Morocco Tour from Marrakech
This 14-day Marrakech itinerary takes you around Morocco in a private vehicle, with a driver-guide who stays with your booking from the first airport pickup to the final transfer. It suits travelers who want Marrakech, the Sahara and the northern cities in one organized holiday, with the hotels, camp and main guiding arranged before departure.
Travel east through Ait Ben Haddou, Skoura and the Dades Valley before spending two nights in Merzouga. The first is in a hotel or riad, followed by a full 4×4 day and a desert camp night. Continue through the Ziz Valley and Middle Atlas to Fes, then north to Chefchaouen before returning via Rabat and Casablanca.
Your two-week Morocco itinerary includes full guided days in Marrakech and Fes, a free day in Chefchaouen and a final Marrakech night before flying home. The long Merzouga-to-Fes drive remains part of the route; the two-night city stays give you time to explore between transfers. Send your dates and group size for a written quote with your accommodation category and complete party total.

2-Week Morocco Itinerary from Marrakech
The full route covers approximately 2,000–2,100 km, plus local city and airport transfers. Distances and times are estimates. Driving times exclude sightseeing, meals and breaks unless a touring duration is stated. Your written itinerary confirms the route, accommodation and airport arrangements for your dates.
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech ⇢ Riad or Hotel Transfer
Your private driver meets you at Marrakech Menara Airport and takes you to your accommodation or the nearest vehicle-accessible point. Share your flight number before arrival so the pickup can be arranged around your landing time. Your first day is for settling in, with the main Marrakech sightseeing planned for tomorrow.
After check-in, take time to unpack, have a mint tea and get your bearings. If you arrive early, you can explore nearby lanes or find a terrace for lunch. An evening arrival works too: there is no long transfer across Morocco immediately after your flight.
Ask the team about a restaurant near your riad and the easiest walking route back. You have two nights here before crossing the Atlas, so you can begin your holiday without packing again the next morning.
Approx. distance: Local airport transfer; distance depends on your accommodation
Approx. driving time: Usually 20–40 minutes, depending on traffic and the meeting point
Overnight: Marrakech · night 1 of 13
Meals: No included meals today; breakfast begins tomorrow
Day 2: Guided Tour of Marrakech ⇢ Medina & Souks ⇢ Jemaa el-Fna
Meet your licensed local guide for a full day in Marrakech. Walk through the medina, pause at the Koutoubia Mosque exterior and follow the lanes toward the palaces, courtyards and workshops that interest you. Your guide coordinates the order with opening times, walking comfort and your preferred pace.
Bahia Palace and Ben Youssef Madrasa offer different views of Moroccan craftsmanship, from painted ceilings to carved plaster and geometric tilework. In the souks, you can stop to look at leatherwork, textiles or metalwork without turning the day into a shopping checklist. Entrance fees are separate, allowing you to choose the interiors you want to visit.
Finish around Jemaa el-Fna, then enjoy your second evening independently. If Majorelle Garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum are priorities, book tickets online in advance through the official Majorelle website and share your time slots with us. These visits can be coordinated with the guided day; tickets are not included.
Approx. distance: Local city travel; mileage varies with the chosen sights
Approx. driving time: Short transfers as needed; most of the guided visit is on foot
Overnight: Marrakech · night 2 of 13
Meals: Breakfast included
Day 3: Marrakech ⇢ High Atlas ⇢ Ait Ben Haddou ⇢ Ouarzazate ⇢ Skoura
Leave the city after breakfast and climb into the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka. Your driver chooses suitable places to pause as the road crosses mountain villages and cultivated slopes. This first intercity stage ends in Skoura, giving the southern valleys their own overnight stop before Dades.
At Ait Ben Haddou, explore the earthen lanes of the UNESCO-listed ksar on foot. The village and the Ouarzazate region are part of Morocco’s film landscape, associated with productions including Gladiator, The Mummy and Game of Thrones. Choose the length of your walk with your guide and driver, allowing time to appreciate the architecture and views across the Ounila Valley.
Continue through Ouarzazate toward the palm groves of Skoura. An Atlas Film Studios visit can be arranged at additional cost, time permitting. Your evening is at your accommodation in the oasis, with dinner included and no need to push on to Dades after the mountain crossing.
Approx. distance: 250–280 km
Approx. driving time: 5–6 hours, excluding sightseeing, lunch and comfort stops
Overnight: Skoura · night 3 of 13
Meals: Breakfast and dinner included
Day 4: Skoura ⇢ Amridil Kasbah ⇢ Valley of Roses ⇢ Boutaghrar ⇢ Dades Valley
Spend the morning among Skoura’s palm groves and kasbahs. Amridil Kasbah provides a closer look at earthen building traditions and domestic life in the oasis, subject to opening hours and with admission paid separately. The shorter distance today gives you time for visits between the overnight stops.
Continue into the Valley of Roses around Kelaat M’Gouna and through the Boutaghrar area. Villages, cultivated plots and changing rock colors give this part of the journey a different feel from the main desert approach. The route used depends on road conditions, your vehicle and the day’s agreed stops; your driver confirms any off-road section before setting out.
Arrive in the Dades Valley and settle into your room before dinner. Ask about a viewpoint stop at the Monkey Fingers formations if your hotel approach and timing allow. The evening in Dades separates your oasis touring from tomorrow’s drive to Merzouga.
Approx. distance: 120–150 km, depending on the route and road conditions
Approx. driving time: 4–5 hours of touring, including visits and scenic stops
Overnight: Dades Valley · night 4 of 13
Meals: Breakfast and dinner included
Day 5: Dades Valley ⇢ Tinghir ⇢ Todra Gorge ⇢ Merzouga
Head toward Tinghir, where palm groves and village gardens line the approach to Todra Gorge. Take a walk along the canyon floor and choose a comfortable place to stop for photographs. This is a chance to stretch your legs before continuing through the drier landscapes farther east.
The road passes small towns and broad desert plains on the way toward Erfoud and the Tafilalet region. Your driver plans lunch and comfort breaks along the journey. As Erg Chebbi comes into view, the dunes mark the start of your two-night Sahara stay.
Tonight is in a hotel or riad in Merzouga, rather than the camp. Settle in, enjoy dinner and prepare a small overnight bag for tomorrow. This order gives your private Sahara desert tour a full exploration day before the camel trek, with the camp night saved for the second evening.
Approx. distance: 275 km
Approx. driving time: 4–5 hours, excluding sightseeing, lunch and comfort stops
Overnight: Merzouga hotel or riad · night 5 of 13
Meals: Breakfast and dinner included
Day 6: Merzouga 4×4 Exploration ⇢ Khamlia ⇢ Mifis ⇢ Camel Trek ⇢ Desert Camp
Explore the Merzouga area in a private 4×4, with stops around Erg Chebbi that are not part of a simple overnight camp transfer. Visit Khamlia for Gnawa music and travel toward the former Mifis mining area. A visit with a nomad family is included when a family is available and happy to receive guests; your driver respects their circumstances and privacy.
Dayet Srji can be included when seasonal water levels and access make the stop worthwhile. The lake may be dry, and birds are not guaranteed. Your driver adjusts the desert circuit to the conditions, with time for lunch and a return to the meeting point before the evening camp transfer.
Your camel trek is planned around sunset, subject to weather and timing, and usually takes about one hour each way. A 4×4 transfer is available if you prefer not to ride. Your luggage is transferred to and from the desert camp; after arrival, settle into your private tent and enjoy dinner beside the dunes.
Approx. distance: 50–80 km, depending on the desert route and conditions
Approx. driving time: 4–6 hours of 4×4 touring including visits; camel trek separately
Overnight: Merzouga desert camp · night 6 of 13
Meals: Breakfast and dinner included
Day 7: Merzouga ⇢ Ziz Valley ⇢ Midelt ⇢ Azrou ⇢ Ifrane ⇢ Fes
Watch the sunrise over Erg Chebbi before breakfast at camp if you wish. After the return transfer, begin the journey north through the Ziz Valley, where palm groves follow the river below rocky slopes. A viewpoint stop lets you see how the cultivated valley contrasts with the surrounding dry country.
Continue through the Midelt area with a lunch break, then cross the Middle Atlas toward the cedar forest near Azrou. Barbary macaques may be seen; sightings are not guaranteed. Please keep your distance and do not feed the wildlife. A stop in Ifrane breaks the final stretch toward Fes.
Reach Fes, also spelled Fez, and check into your accommodation for two nights. This is the longest driving day of the tour, so the evening is left free for dinner and rest. Tomorrow’s guided visit takes place without another intercity transfer or a change of hotel.
Approx. distance: 470 km
Approx. driving time: 7–8 hours, excluding sightseeing, lunch and comfort stops
Overnight: Fes · night 7 of 13
Meals: Breakfast included
Day 8: Guided Tour of Fes ⇢ Royal Palace ⇢ Mellah ⇢ Fes el-Bali
Meet your licensed local guide for a full day exploring Fes. Begin with the Royal Palace gates and the Mellah, then move into the medina’s network of lanes. Your guide helps you understand the neighborhoods and everyday activity beyond the landmarks, with breaks arranged around your walking pace.
The route can include Bab Bou Jeloud, a historic madrasa when open, Nejjarine Square and the Al Quaraouiyine area. Religious sites have access restrictions, so some places are viewed from outside. At a tannery viewpoint, learn how the leatherworking quarter fits into the medina’s craft traditions; purchases are optional.
Choose the interiors you want to enter, with entrance fees separate from the included guide. After the visit, return to your riad or stay in the medina for dinner. Your second night in Fes leaves time to enjoy the city instead of moving straight on to Chefchaouen.
Approx. distance: Local city travel; mileage varies with the chosen sights
Approx. driving time: Short transfers as needed; much of the guided visit is on foot
Overnight: Fes · night 8 of 13
Meals: Breakfast included
Day 9: Fes ⇢ Meknes ⇢ Volubilis ⇢ Chefchaouen
Travel west from Fes to Meknes for an introduction to another of Morocco’s imperial cities. Stops around the historic gates and squares depend on current access and restoration work. Discuss your interests with the driver so the time here fits with the rest of the day.
Continue to Volubilis, where the remains of streets, public buildings and mosaic floors offer a different historical setting from the medinas. Walk at your own pace through the archaeological site; admission and an optional local guide are separate. Carry water and sun protection, as much of the visit is outdoors.
After lunch, the road leads north toward the Rif Mountains and Chefchaouen. Check in for two nights and enjoy a first walk through the blue medina. Tomorrow is free of scheduled intercity driving, so there is no need to fit every viewpoint and lane into this evening.
Approx. distance: About 260 km
Approx. driving time: 4½–5 hours, excluding Meknes, Volubilis, lunch and comfort stops
Overnight: Chefchaouen · night 9 of 13
Meals: Breakfast included
Day 10: Free Day in Chefchaouen
Enjoy breakfast and set your own pace in Chefchaouen. Follow the blue-painted lanes toward small squares, shops and cafés, stopping for photographs when you find a quiet corner. This free day gives your two-week Morocco itinerary a pause between the guided Fes visit and the coastal cities.
You might explore around Uta el-Hammam Square, visit the kasbah with separate admission or walk toward Ras El Ma. The Spanish Mosque viewpoint involves an uphill walk with steps and uneven ground; choose it only if it suits your mobility and the weather. A local guide can be arranged at additional cost if you prefer company.
An Akchour excursion is an optional alternative that needs planning around transport, walking distance and trail conditions. Let the team know before the day if that interests you. Otherwise, stay in town, choose your own lunch and dinner, and enjoy a second night without repacking.
Approx. distance: 0 km of scheduled intercity travel
Approx. driving time: No scheduled intercity driving; optional local travel varies
Overnight: Chefchaouen · night 10 of 13
Meals: Breakfast included
Day 11: Chefchaouen ⇢ Rif Mountains ⇢ Rabat
Leave Chefchaouen after breakfast and travel through the Rif countryside toward Rabat. The morning is mainly on the road, with breaks arranged along the way. By staying overnight in the capital, you can explore it without adding the Casablanca transfer to the same day.
Visit the Hassan Tower area and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V when access allows, then continue toward the Kasbah of the Udayas. Its lanes and views over the Bouregreg estuary introduce the Atlantic side of the journey after the mountains and desert.
Check into your Rabat accommodation and spend the evening as you choose. A walk near the waterfront or dinner in the city gives this overnight its own character. Any visits affected by opening hours can be considered tomorrow before you leave for Casablanca.
Approx. distance: About 250 km
Approx. driving time: 4–4½ hours, excluding lunch and comfort stops
Overnight: Rabat · night 11 of 13
Meals: Breakfast included
Day 12: Rabat ⇢ Casablanca ⇢ Hassan II Mosque ⇢ Corniche
Finish any agreed Rabat sightseeing after breakfast, then follow the Atlantic corridor to Casablanca. This shorter transfer leaves room for the city visit and avoids treating Casablanca as an airport stop alone. Your driver coordinates the order with the mosque’s visitor schedule.
Visit the Hassan II Mosque exterior and join an official interior tour if a suitable session is available. Interior admission is separate and religious observances may affect access. Wear clothing that covers shoulders and knees, and follow the mosque’s visitor guidance.
Continue along the Corniche before checking into your hotel. Dinner is independent tonight. You will return to Marrakech tomorrow and sleep there before your flight, so this day does not depend on catching a connection after the sightseeing.
Approx. distance: About 90 km between the cities, plus local sightseeing
Approx. driving time: Around 1½ hours between the cities, excluding sightseeing and traffic delays
Overnight: Casablanca · night 12 of 13
Meals: Breakfast included
Day 13: Casablanca ⇢ Marrakech
Return to Marrakech after breakfast on the main road south. This is a transfer day with room for a comfort break, rather than another full sightseeing circuit. The private vehicle takes you to your accommodation or the nearest vehicle-accessible point.
Use the remaining time to revisit a favorite part of the medina, arrange a hammam or enjoy a terrace meal. Optional activities are booked and paid separately. If you missed a particular Marrakech site at the start, ask us to check whether it fits your arrival time and the day’s opening hours.
Your final night in Marrakech provides a buffer before departure. Keep your flight details handy and confirm the pickup arrangements with the team. A Casablanca departure can be discussed before booking, but it changes these final two days and the overnight plan.
Approx. distance: About 240 km
Approx. driving time: Around 3 hours, depending on traffic; breaks additional
Overnight: Marrakech · night 13 of 13
Meals: Breakfast included
Day 14: Marrakech Accommodation ⇢ Marrakech Menara Airport
Your driver collects you for the private transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport at the agreed time. The team uses your flight details and accommodation location to set pickup, allowing time for the drive and airport procedures.
If your flight is later, you can spend the remaining time close to your accommodation. Keep any final plans flexible so you are ready when the driver arrives. An early departure may fall before normal breakfast service; ask the accommodation about possible arrangements the evening before.
Your two-week private tour ends at the airport. If you would like to extend the holiday with Essaouira, extra Marrakech nights or a different departure city, arrange that with us before confirming the booking so the transport and accommodation can be quoted together.
Approx. distance: Local airport transfer; distance depends on your accommodation
Approx. driving time: Usually 20–40 minutes, with pickup set to allow for traffic and check-in
Overnight: Departure day · no overnight included
Meals: Breakfast included when your departure time allows

Marrakech Itinerary: 14 Days or 10?
Choose fourteen days when you want time in the southern valleys, two nights in Fes and Chefchaouen, and an organized Marrakech round trip. A ten-day tour is worth comparing if your holiday is shorter and you are willing to reduce the number of overnight stops or free days.

Planning Your 14-Day Morocco Trip from Marrakech
Book flights around the overnight plan. Day one is Marrakech arrival; day fourteen is departure from Marrakech. The final night is already back in the city. Send your flight details before paying a deposit, especially if you want Casablanca as your endpoint.
Allow for changing climates. Pack walking shoes, sun protection and layers for the Atlas, desert evenings and northern towns. Spring and autumn generally balance these regions well. Summer afternoons in Merzouga are hot; winter can bring snow to mountain roads.
Keep camp essentials accessible. The camel trek takes about one hour each way, subject to location and conditions. A small overnight bag is convenient, and luggage transfer to and from the desert camp is included. Choose a 4×4 transfer instead of riding if preferred.
Plan tickets before the guided Marrakech day. Book Majorelle Garden and YSL Museum tickets online in advance through the official channel. Share the time slots with the team so they can be coordinated with day two. Entrance fees are separate.
Share practical needs early. Medinas, ksars and viewpoints can involve steps or uneven ground. Tell us about children, mobility, dietary needs and room preferences when requesting your quote, so the team can check suitable arrangements.
Marrakech Itinerary 14 Days: Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a private or shared 14-day Morocco tour?
This is a private tour: your vehicle and driver-guide are reserved for your booking. You choose your travel dates and discuss stops along the agreed route. Hotels and camps may host other guests, and shared spaces or cultural visits are not exclusive to your party.
How much does this Marrakech itinerary of 14 days cost?
The indicative rate is €2,499 per person for two travelers, or €4,998 for your party. The published group-size rates range from €4,998 for a solo traveler to €1,925 per person for a private booking of 10 or more. Dates, accommodation category, room arrangements and any route changes determine your final written quote.
Are 14 days enough to see Morocco from Marrakech?
Fourteen days allows this route to combine the High Atlas, Skoura, Dades, Merzouga, Fes, Chefchaouen, Rabat and Casablanca with Marrakech arrival and departure. It includes full guided days in Marrakech and Fes and a free day in Chefchaouen. It does not include every region: Essaouira, Tangier and a separate Atlas trekking stay would require a route change or more nights.
Does the tour start and finish in Marrakech?
Yes. The published itinerary begins at Marrakech Menara Airport on day one and ends there on day fourteen. You return from Casablanca on day thirteen and spend the final night in Marrakech. Pickup from a Marrakech accommodation can be arranged if you are already in the city; share the address and your flight details when you enquire.
Can I finish this 14-day tour in Casablanca instead?
Yes, ask for a revised itinerary before booking. A Casablanca departure changes the final transfer, hotel nights and airport arrangements, so it needs its own confirmed quote. If your flights are already booked, send both arrival and departure details before paying a deposit.
Is this two weeks in Marrakech or a tour around Morocco?
It is a two-week Morocco tour starting in Marrakech, not fourteen nights in one city. You spend nights one, two and thirteen in Marrakech, with the other nights along the southern valleys, Sahara, imperial-city and Rif route. If you prefer a Marrakech-based holiday with day trips, request a different plan.
How long are the driving days?
The longest stage is Merzouga to Fes: about 470 km and 7–8 hours of driving before stops. Dades to Merzouga is about 275 km and 4–5 hours. Marrakech to Skoura is about 250–280 km and 5–6 hours, while Casablanca to Marrakech is about 240 km and around 3 hours. The day-by-day itinerary separates driving from visits and breaks; road and weather conditions can affect timings.
What vehicle will we travel in?
For 2–3 travelers, we generally use a 4×4 such as a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado TX. For 4–8 travelers, the vehicle is usually a Mercedes Vito or Ford Tourneo minivan; larger groups use a minibus. Your vehicle is confirmed for your group, luggage and availability. The Merzouga exploration day uses a 4×4 appropriate for the desert circuit.
Can I book this tour as a solo traveler?
Yes. The indicative private solo rate is €4,998 for the complete fourteen-day itinerary. Your transport and driver-guide are reserved for you, so those costs are not shared with other bookings. We confirm your room and tent arrangements, dates and accommodation category before you pay a deposit.
How many nights are in the Sahara, and which night is the camp?
You spend night five in a Merzouga hotel or riad and night six in a private desert camp tent. Day six includes the private 4×4 exploration before the camel trek planned around sunset. This order gives you a hotel night after the drive from Dades and a full day around the dunes before the camp stay.
How long is the camel trek, and can I take a 4×4 instead?
The camel trek takes approximately one hour each way, depending on camp location and dune conditions. It is planned around sunset, subject to timing and weather. A 4×4 camp transfer is included when arranged instead of riding; tell us your preference before departure. Luggage transfer to and from the desert camp is included.
Do the rooms and desert camp tents have private bathrooms and air conditioning?
All accommodations, including the desert camp, have private en-suite bathrooms, hot showers and AC/heating. Your quote confirms the accommodation category and room or tent arrangements. Tell us about any essential facilities or accessibility needs before booking so the team can check the proposed stays with you.
Which meals and guides are included?
Thirteen breakfasts and four dinners are included: Skoura, Dades, the Merzouga hotel or riad, and the desert camp. A very early departure can fall before normal breakfast service. The tour also includes your English-speaking driver-guide and licensed local guides for the full-day Marrakech and Fes visits. Lunches, drinks, other dinners, entrance fees and other local guides are separate unless added to your quote.
What is the best time for a two-week Morocco itinerary?
Spring and autumn generally suit a route combining the cities, mountains and Sahara. Summer brings very hot afternoons around Merzouga, while winter can mean cold desert nights and snow affecting Atlas roads. Share your dates before booking so we can discuss the pace, daylight and any weather-related adjustments.
What should I wear and pack for this tour?
Choose comfortable clothing, walking shoes with grip, layers and a sun hat. Clothing covering shoulders and knees is useful for cultural visits; follow site-specific guidance. Pack sunscreen, sunglasses, personal medicines, a refillable bottle and a small bag for the camp night. Bring a warm layer for desert evenings and a windproof layer for the mountains, particularly in winter. Keep valuables and essentials with you.
Is the itinerary suitable for families and travelers with mobility needs?
Private travel allows stops and the walking pace to be discussed in advance, but the route still includes long drives, medina steps, uneven historic sites and sand. Send children’s ages, mobility needs and room requirements before booking. We can check suitable arrangements and offer a 4×4 instead of camel riding; step-free access at every stop cannot be assumed.
Do I need to book Majorelle Garden and the YSL Museum in advance?
Yes. Book tickets online in advance through the official Majorelle ticket channel and send us the selected date and time. We can coordinate them with your Marrakech guided day where the schedule allows. The tickets and entrance fees are separate from the tour price, and opening schedules should be checked for your visit.
How do I book, and what are the cancellation terms?
Send your dates, group size, room preferences and accommodation category. Our team checks availability and sends the complete itinerary, per-person price, total party price and payment details. Please review our cancellation policy before confirming. A deposit secures the agreed arrangements after you approve the quote; submitting an enquiry alone does not confirm a booking.
